休士頓淨宗學會將於六月九日至十一日舉辦三天孝親報師恩法會。這次很榮幸請到上悟下行法師來主持法會。法師出生於台灣台南，早年畢業於屏東師專，曾擔任教師五年。在校期間承蒙侯秋東、陳伯達教授介紹開始接觸佛法，後又於教學公餘之時追隨上淨下空導師學習佛法。

一九九一年於達拉斯佛教會剃度於老和尚座下，年底在台灣高雄日月禪寺受具足戒。多年來法師追隨老和尚專修專弘淨土法門，在全世界各處協助當地連友成立淨宗學會，深受同修們的敬重。

在本會成立之初，法師也多次前來休士頓弘法並教導同修們學習法器和唱練，更提供所需的法器，感恩之至。這次法師又在百忙之中蒞臨休士頓弘法，願有緣同修都能前來參加並聆聽法師精要的開示。

目前法師擔任澳洲淨宗學院院長、澳洲昆士蘭大學佛學傳教師、澳洲淨宗學會會長、墨爾本淨宗學會會長、悉尼淨宗學會副會長及台南極樂寺主持等職。希望今後法師更能追隨老和尚的足跡、行腳照顧全世界淨宗弟子。願淨土法門代代相傳，拯救末法眾生，同生極樂國。

Tịnh Tông Học Hội Houston Thông báo từ ngày 9 đến ngày 11 tháng 6 hội sẽ tổ chức 3 ngày lễ pháp
hội Hiếu thân báo Sư ân. Lần này thật vinh hạnh thỉnh mời pháp sư thượng Ngộ hạ Hạnh pháp hội.Pháp sư sinh trưởng ở Đài Nam Đài Loan, Chủ lễ tốt nghiệp Trưởng Cao đẳng Sư phạm Bình Đông, dạy học 5 năm.

Ở trường học nhờ 2 vị giáo sư Hầu Thu Đông và Trần bá Đạt giới thiệu tiếp xúc Phật pháp, sau đó theo ân sư lão hoà thượng tu học Phật pháp. Và Năm 1991 Được lão hoà thượng thế độ xuất gia tại hội Phật giáo Dallas, cuối năm đó thọ cụ túc giới tại Nhật Nguyệt thiền tự Cao Hùng Đài Loan. Pháp sư đã nhiều năm y chỉ lão hoà thượng chuyên hoằng pháp môn Tịnh Độ, đi khắp nơi trên thế giới trợ giúp thành lập nhiều Tịnh tông học Hội địa phương, rất được sự Kính trọng của Liên hữu đồng tu.

Khi hội Houston mới vừa thành lập, pháp sư đã nhiều lần đến hoằng pháp và hướng dẫn học pháp khí và xướng tụng Phạn bối , trao tặng nhiều pháp khí cho hội, hội vô cùng biết ơn. Lần này pháp sư bận rộn Phật sự, vẫn dành thời giờ quí báo đến hội hoằng pháp, xin nguyện tất cả Đồng Tu đầy đủ duyên lành đến tham gia cộng tu nghe pháp .

Pháp sư hiện đang giữ chức : viện trưởng học viện Úc châu, giáo sư dạy môn Phật học Queensland Úc châu, hội trưởng tịnh tông học hội Melbourne , phó hội trưởng tịnh tông học hội Sydney, trụ trì chùa Cực Lạc Đài Nam .Mong rằng pháp sư nối bước đại nguyện lão hoà thượng, đi hành cước chiếu cố các Tịnh Tông học hội toàn thể giới. Nguyện Cầu pháp môn Tịnh độ, đời đời tương truyền, cứu độ chúng Sanh thời mạt phát, đều đồng sanh cực lạc Phật quốc.

The Amitabha Buddhist Society of Houston will hold a three-day Ceremony to Repay Kindness of Parents and Teachers from June 9th to 11th, 2023. We are honored to have the Venerable Master Wu Jing to preside over the ceremony. 

The Master was born in Tainan, Taiwan and graduated from Pingtung Teachers’ College. He served as a teacher for five years. While as a teacher, he was introduced to Buddhism by Professor Qiudong Hou and Professor Boda Chen. Later, he followed Venerable Master Chin Kung to learn Buddhism during his spare time from teaching. 

In 1991, he was ordained under the supervision of Venerable Master Chin Kung at the Dallas Buddhist Association. At the end of the year, he received full ordination at the Riyue Chan Temple in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. 

For many years, Venerable Master Wu Jing has followed Venerable Master Chin Kung to specialize in and promote the Pure Land Dharma. Around the world, Venerable Master Wu Jing helped local Buddhists to establish Amitabha Buddhist societies and received respect from fellow practitioners. 

At the beginning of the establishment of our society, Venerable Master Wu Jing came to Houston many times to promote the Dharma and teach us how to chant sutras. Wholeheartedly, we are grateful for him providing the necessary Dharma instruments and for teaching us how to use them. 

This time, despite his tight schedule, Venerable Master Wu Jing decides to come to Houston to promote Houston’s Buddhist culture, and we hope that fellow practitioners will have the opportunity to come and listen to his essential teachings. 

Now, the Master serves as the dean of the Australian Pureland Learning College, a lecturer in Buddhism at the University of Queensland in Australia, the president of the Amitabha Buddhist Association of Queensland, the president of the Amitabha Buddhist Association of Melbourne, the vice president of the Amitabha Buddhist Association of NSW, and the abbot of the Temple of Ultimate Bliss in Tainan. 

Hopefully, in the future, Venerable Master Wu Jing can follow in the footsteps of Venerable Master Chin Kung to take care of Pure Land disciples across the world. Hopefully, the Pure Land Dharma continues from generation to generation to save the sentient beings in the Dharma-ending age and attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss or Sukhavati.
